AG Angel Cords in Black (size 31), Splendid wool blend thermal, Rogan Tee. I love these cords! They are so comfortable (98% cotton, 2% lycra) and fit perfectly. They fit more closely than the Antik's below, but cords stretch out a lot and eventually these fit much better. I chose to hem them just a little bit but they aren't as long as most jeans, so if you're a little taller than me, you probably won't have to hem them at all. The Splendid top is about as warm as a sweater, but 1/4 the thickness. The 20% wool adds just the right amount of warmth while keeping the material very lightweight. The downside is that it is dry clean only - so I won't be wearing it as often as a bottom layer, but I love that now, you don't need bulk to stay warm.

The Rogan tee is sooo sweet - I fell in love with the mouse on the shoulder before I even saw the other little animals at the bottom. The shirt itself is really soft and 'environmentaly friendly' - it's actually more of an off-white than white, presumably becuase it's not bleached. I got mine at Barney's Co-Op, but it is available here in red. |
Antik
Fawcett Cords
in Black I love these actually. And I'm really not a fan of Antik (too much going on). But these are really fun and have just the right amout of character. Problem is, they were $284 - which is a lot to spend on 1) a pair of cords 2) pants I probably won't wear next year 3) pants that gap too much in the waist. The great thing about these is that they don't need to be hemmed. The problems were that the waist was WAY too big on me, and became even more so after I wore them around the house for a few hours. Also, I think they flatten my butt out a bit too much. The AG's fit all of my curves better, and keep everything looking as it should. If I had $284 to spend willy-nilly, I probably would have kept these because they really are cool in person. But I don't, so I took them back. |
