These are the Desire jeans in Ecstasy wash from Adriano Goldschmeid's new line, Goldsign. I love them! The legs are accomodating of my larger thighs, and the hip/butt/waist area fits PERFECTLY without gapping in the back. I like the understated back pockets, the wash, and the super soft denim. I got mine at Blue Genes in Atlanta and you can get them at online. The 'Desire' style is a flared leg, similar to Legends, but I also tried the 'Passion' style, which is a bootleg - I took a size 32 in both. There's lots of cool detailing on these jeans which make them very special, but the fit is the thing, and these fit exactly like I want my jeans to fit. (98% cotton, 2% elastene).

So, everything I said about the Goldsign's above, ditto for these James. They are more lowcut in the back than the Goldsign, but I love the way they make my 'behind' look (a little flatter, but still voluptuous) and the bootcut style. The wash is also fabulous - it is darker and not as faded as the Goldsign and more of a midnight blue as opposed to a navy blue. These are the 5pkt bootleg in dark sway, 97% cotton, 3% elastene - also a size 32.

Here are the two pairs side-by-side so you can see the difference in wash and style. The gold shirt on the left is new from the Michael Stars 'shine' line. I love the neckline - which is even deeper in the back (very sexy!). It is a slight empire shape and the color is so great - easy to wear with almost anything. I got mine at Anthropologie.

The shirt on the right is Love by Ya-Ya available at Blue Genes. It's difficult to tell here, but there's ribbing along the sides that make it more fitted, a hood, a kangaroo pocket, and lots of distressing at the hems and a few other unexpected places! I've worn it only a few times and get compliments every time. It's incredibly comfortable, amazingly flattering, and will be my live-in top this fall/winter.

Cords are Marc by MJ, top by Custo Barcelona, shoes by Robert Clergerie. I am so in love with this top - I have always admired Custo pieces from afar, but never really saw something I had to have or thought I would get a lot of wear out of. This one caught my eye primarily because I KNEW it would look fabulous with these deep purple cords and I just loved the little girl on the front/back.

Gray top Marc by MJ, white tee underneath, James Perse, Skirt Marc by MJ, Shoes Robert Clergerie. Just a word about the shoes...I love them. Robert Clergerie can be hit or miss sometimes with his designs, but these are just perfect. I saw these a while ago and started a several months long search for a less expensive pair and never found anything close. So, I took the plunge and invested in these. I will wear them with everything, all the time, so I am sure I'll get a good ROI and cost-per-wear out of them, but other than that, they're just so fabulous!

Everything is Marc by MJ except for the shoes, which are Coclico. The 'ruffle' top is available here. I liked this skirt because it's a good length to wear with flats and heels. I think it looks better with the heels above, but the flats are also cute.

This is my skirt by A Common Thread, reviewed earlier this year. It is reversible and made from silk. It has been a challenge finding tops to wear with it because it is more full, but I think this DarylK jacket is perfect with it. It gives my waist much-needed definition, and 'dresses' up the whole outfit. The jacket is actually fleece, with way too many cool details to list here, but the hems are 'unfinished', there is a subtle difference in color/texture in the collar and belt, it has two pockets on the front and piping along the shoulders and down the arms. This will be my jacket/sweater/coat for the winter.

Same DarylK jacket with a white tee underneath, with my Juicy Ultra Low Super Flare jeans and Robert Clergerie shoes.

Another DarylK top from Barneys Co-Op - it is wool/tencel and so warm, but stretchy and soft. It's great also layered over a t-shirt or tank top.

Top and dress are both by Velvet. I had been looking at this dress for a long time at Anthropologie but couldn't justify the $118 price tag, so I waited until it went on sale at 50% off and snatched it up! I love it - it's great to wear layered or alone with a shrug over. I usually wear it with this dark green top underneath because I think the color combination is unexpected, but very pretty.

I know what you're saying: are those...can she really be wearing leggings? Yes, I'm wearing leggings. They are by DarylK and available exclusively at Barneys or at DarylK's shop in NYC. Made from wool and tencel, they're warm, so comfy, and just a little stretchy. They are VERY long, so they can be bunched up around the ankle or further up around the knee. I am wearing a size 8 and am usually a size 12 in pants/skirts, so you should size down quite a bit - of course, if you them to be more loose and textured, go only one size down. I'm still not sure what I think about the fit/look on me...it's very edgy and different - but definitely has potential!

In the two left pictures, I'm wearing a DarylK dress/top that I LOVE and will be wearing all fall/winter. It's easily layered over turtlenecks for warmth, and great over these leggings or straight jeans. It's also made from a wool/tencel blend.

In the last picture, I'm wearing a black DarylK top (yes, I purchased half the new collection...) and a crocheted sweater skirt from Urban Outfitters. I'm not too sure about the look, but I wanted to try it. I thought the 'sweater' skirt was interesting, and also tried it layered over another skirt. It would also be very nice over a pair of jeans.

The shoes are by Seychelles. I sized down a half size and they fit perfectly. I got them at Nordstrom, but they're also available at Urban Outfitters with a wood heel and in other colors.

This is the same black DarylK shirt from above - layered over a Splendid scoop neck. I am so in love with this DarylK shirt - it's so soft and has so many fantastic details: a ribbed band around the bottom, gathering on the sleeves, and unfinished hems on the sleeves and neck. I think it will look nicer layered over a turtleneck or a long sleeve crew neck shirt, but this is what I had available. The skirt is Marc by Marc Jacobs. It's such a flattering and comfortable A-line style in deep burgandy corduroy. I took my regular size, but it does stretch a bit with wear, so you might want to size down if you like a more snug fit. I love the color - it's so versatile and rich (I have the pants in the same color!).

I'm not a huge fan of this outfit - it's the sweater, I think. I love my jeans, though. They're the only pair of jeans I have (I purged my others) and they're one of the only cuts/designers that will fit my thighs. They are the Juicy Ultra Low Super Flare with 2% stretch and cute embroidered hearts on the pockets.

The sweater is from Anthropolgie. I ordered it after I saw it on an SA in the store and loved it on her. It's still a nice sweater, but I don't like it as much on me (I think I'll go back and get this one - it was more flattering on me). It's layered over a C&C top.

The necklace I'm wearing is by Rachel Abroms from Testimo Boutique. I wear it ALL the time and never get tired of the attention it gets...

The same Seychelles shoes as above in Teal. These run a little big, so I sized down a 1/2 size. The suede version feels even bigger than the leather version, but they're pretty comfortable, add a great touch of color, and they're under $100!
