I
loved this top on the rack and I love it even more on. It's
Marc by Marc Jacobs and is made from the softest, stretchy
cotton with a funky colorful pattern. The
Gracie Garden Print Top The pants were a FABULOUS find at Anthropologie ($19.99). They were actually much longer than this, but I got them hemmed so I could wear my new flats! (details on the shoes below). |
| There is nothing I like better than clothes or accessories that do double-duty. I work hard, so why shouldn't my outfits? Anyway, this is the same skirt in both pictures - it is by A Common Thread (the bridge line of Rozae Nichols), available at Barney's Co-Op and on sale NOW. The patterned side is silk and it is hand washable - gotta love that. It's such a fun skirt to work with and great for traveling becuase you can wear it two days in a row and no one will ever know! |

This is a top by Ella Moss I picked up at the Nordstrom sale. I love the color (not a color I have much of in my wardrobe) and the fit. I do think it's a bit too long though, it should cut off at or above my hips for the best look - I'm debating getting it hemmed. |

The top is from the new Michael Stars supima cotton line and it is so comfy and fits great. His tees are always 'one size fits most,' but this tee runs much bigger and is much more forgiving than his shine tees. The cotton is so soft and is thin enough to keep cool. Here it is at Melange4Women in lighter colors. The skirt is DKNY jeans. You may have noticed that I haven't 'reviewed' a lot of short skirts. One reason is the tattoo, another is that it is extremely difficult for me to find a knee-length skirt that flatters my figure. This one is great because it fits my hips at the top, then flares out slightly to balance them out. The shoes are an added bonus becuase the neutral color helps to elongate my leg and keep the eye moving - instead of breaking up the line. |

I've been itching to shout Stella!! since I got these shoes. In a word, they are fabulous. I believe the neutral color of the shoe helps elongate my otherwise short legs and the heel of course, give me much needed height. They are very comfortable to walk in because of the platform and go with everything. They are by Stella McCartney and they're available online at Satine Boutique in the mint green batik print. I got mine at Bob Ellis in Atlanta - where they are on sale now.
These shoes are so much fun! Since a recent business trip disaster with a pair of shoes whose name I won't mention...I've been searching for comfortable, unique flats; I was so excited to finally find these. They are available at Anthropologie, but don't buy them online! I paid less than half of the price online, so I would call your local store and see if they have them on sale. |
The only good thing about the aforementioned disastrous business trip was this bag. It is HUGE and holds everything in it's multiple zippered compartments as well as inside pockets. The sides unsnap to create a wider opening and snap back when you don't need it to carry so much. I use this to carry my laptop when I'm going to Starbucks, and as a day-to-day purse. I embellished it a little with some fabulous fabric buttons by Uplifting Arts available at The Needle in a Haystack. That's what's so fun about this bag is that it can be dressy and functional as well as fun and playful. The hemp allows you to pin and sew stuff on without ruining the bag! Kale Essential Tote in Hemp and Black Leather - available at Testimo Boutique. |
