COCO'S SHOPPE
Here's more about Coco's Shoppe in the words of Heather...we asked for her perspective on the new "Green" trend made popular by brands such as Edun and Loomstate, and to tell us a little more about why she started Coco's Shoppe:
"There are some really fabulous lines out there now….like Edun & Loom state & [and others on CocosShoppe.com]….that people take notice of first for their fresh style and hip pieces. For fashion, you really need to turn heads first, get people’s attention, /it is then so easy/ (and never feels like you are shoving eco-education down their throat) to talk to them about the current ‘trend’ of the style or the fabrics (i.e. Bamboo, organics, etc) – and WHY the piece or brand is eco-savvy.
The bottom line is that we love what we buy….we are very into style & brands ….people love new brands too and to have something first…..and really, they also love to ‘do good’ and knowing why you buy (or voting with your dollars these days) is v. important too!
FYI ( I am looking at EDUN for the fall, I currently don’t have the line yet)
I started CocosShoppe.com to give fashion & beauty savvy shoppers a place to find the current brands they love as well as new indie brands /and/ always know they were buying something sustainable or eco-conscious and educate them (with each product description) why.
In my opinion “Ladies need not be concerned with the beauty indulgences of lipstick, lingerie and the latest fashions… but rather the brand and composition of these products and their ramifications on health, the environmental and generations to come.”
