Hoody
is by Splendid, available at Anthropologie Love this outfit! The hoody is VERY lightweight and sheer so that you really have to wear something over or under it, but unlike Splendid's thermals, it can hold up to more wear. The color is fabulous - it goes very well with blacks and browns - and the hood is just cute. The DarylK top was on sale at Barney's this week and I'm so glad I snatched it up! It's difficult to see here, but there is rouching right above the waist to cinch it in a bit; it is SO flattering. It's pretty low-cut, so I will layer it, but even in the summer, it will be great with just a tank top underneath. |
Sweater
by Rebecca
Taylor I had been DYING to find a long sweater cardigan forever and finally found this one by Rebecca Taylor at Laurie Solet. It is truly classic and will be a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe for years. It's not too warm, so it's best for 50 degree days, but it layers well, and is so much fun to wear! I've been wearing scarves all the time lately - for some reason I just discovered how warming having something around your neck is, and how easy they are to wear! They're fun to play around with too - I also like to double-wrap them and tie in the back. The Havana Hobo by Hayden-Harnett is SO COOL! I truly love this bag - it is so much fun to carry with the leather tassel and the applique on the front. It holds everything and has lots of pockets for stuffing keys and phones into. Sweater,
DarylK for Barney's Co-Op Okay, so I bought out all the new DarylK stuff at Barney's again...I can't resist, I love her pieces. This is a fabulous cashmere/cotton/modal blend sweater in a great color. It's lightweight enough for spring/summer and can be easily layered for fall/winter. |

Top DarylK for Barney's Co-Op I'm not very excited about this top, so I think it will go back. It is cute, and I love how it accentuates my upper half, but I need more definition of my waist than this top affords. And the color isn't the most flattering for my skin tone. |
Scarf by Nadia Daniel I got this long scarf recently and love to play around with different ways to wear it. In this picture, I twisted the scarf from long end to long end, wrapped it around my neck three times and tied it in the back. It's a very cool and unexpected way to wear a scarf! I got the idea from Hermes - along with many others. I love this scarf - the design is gorgeous and the silk is so beautiful. All the scarves at Nadia Daniel are on sale now, and another great thing about them is that they give back to the community in Thailand that print the scarves! |
'Kick a Commie for Ronnie' tee by Sharp as Toast I. Love. these. Tees!!! I'm not the biggest fan of 'statement' tees, but these are different - they're actually intelligent, a little sarcastic, and a ton of fun. Most of them have something to do with ex-Presidents (Taft anyone?) and political events. They're made on American Apparel tees and are men's styles. Mine is a size M.
